Melbourne Fire Doors formerly known as Budget Fire Systems established 1992 by Managing Director Bill Diggins, who had been operating as a subcontractor installing fire door systems from 1980 to 1992, being involved in many landmark projects such as Southgate, Melbourne Central, The Arts centre, Chadstone Shopping Centre and many more.

A member of F.P.I.A.A Bill was appointed in 1988 to the technical sub committee BD 19/5 of Standards Australia.

All personnel employed by the company have wide experience in the field of fire doors and pressed metal frames. Installers working with Melbourne Fire doors are provided with training in the the fitting of hinged fire doors and sliding fire doors.

Progress of Company

Since commencing in 1992 we have been successfully operating as a small company providing reliable and prompt service in the fire door market and in April 1995 we began manufacturing of our own fire doors and more recently increased the size and range of manufacturing of press metal frames, offering custom profile and standard profile frames being fire rated and non rated.
